SL Centre - Peach

Hello Peaches!

I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s great to be back together again.  The children are settling back into their routine.

We will continue to focus on reading, spelling and maths skills as well as topic work.

Reading:  We will hear your child read daily.  Please make sure their reading book and reading diary is returned every day and signed.

Please spend time letting your child read to you – it doesn’t have to be for long, but encourage them to break down works, use their sounds and ask them questions about their book (many books have ideas to share with your children at the back).

Your child also has access to Collins Big Cat e-readers.  They have two new books added to their account every week.  If you have any difficulties please get back to us and we can resend you the link.

Spellings:  children will get weekly spellings.  When writing them, please use a pencil and write as neatly as possible.

Homework:  Homework will be set on Google Classroom on a Friday and should be completed by the following Friday.  If you cannot access it, please let us know.

PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday.

As the weather (hopefully) gets warmer – please send your child in with a water bottle that can be filled during the day if necessary and make sure they have a sunhat.  When it get’s very warm, please apply sun cream to your child’s face, neck and arms before they come to school.

Let’s hope we have a settled term, any questions, please feel free to approach Ms Martin or myself in the playground, in the morning; write a message in your child's home/ school diary or e-mail:
