Working together to provide an educational environment that inspires, challenges and nurtures each child.

Staying Safe Online

Children are growing up in a world of ever-changing technology, having many benefits in modern life, however we cannot ignore the risks associated with its use. At Lionel Primary School, we believe that it’s vital to equip pupils with the knowledge and skills needed to utilise the online world safely.

Children at Lionel Primary school learn about e-safety through the Purple Mash scheme of work. We also have a "Safer Internet Day" where we explore the potential risks online and engage in fun activities relating to the theme.

Please look at the links below on advice on how to use the internet safely. Also make sure you know how to find the CEOP link to report anything worrying to the “internet police”.

On Friday 5th May 2023 we had a special visit from Constable Aubeelack and Constable Taylor, who have delivered an Online Safety workshop for Lionel parents. The workshop was organised to help parents and carers understand why young people go online and give them resources to help keep children safe. Thank you to those of you who attended.
